We really enjoyed our second summer visit to Rehoboth and our first stay at The Avenue Inn & Spa. We plan to make this an annual tradition! The hotel itself is beautiful and there are so many fun amenities for the whole family. The breakfast is good in a pinch, the wine/cheese hour is a nice gesture and the highlight of each evening - the warm cookies and cold milk - bring so much joy! We also loved the game room with so many options, and the pool/hot tub is great when a beach day is rained out.
The staff are super friendly and kind. The beach buggy driver, Lew, was so sweet with our 6 year old daughter and made her feel really special by having her sit up front with him and greeting her with a big smile every time her saw her. Peter at the front desk was also really lovely.
Just some minor feedback - not sure if this is the case with all the rooms in the newer side of the hotel, but a full length mirror would be really useful to have. Also, we had a minor toilet leak and someone came up promptly to look at it and let us know that the toilet might need to be replaced after we leave, but it would also have been appreciated if we were asked at check out the next day if anything could be offered for that inconvenience, or even ask how our stay was.
Overall, thank you for a wonderful stay, and we will for sure be back!!

Can’t believe I haven’t written a review. My husband and I have been staying here for our anniversary for the last few years. We love the free coffee all day and the milk & cookies. Towels and beach chairs are provided and the hotel is a block away from the beach. Rehoboth is very walkable and the location of this hotel is perfect. Rooms have always been clean. Staff is friendly. My only issue is sometimes there isn’t enough garage parking. We usually go in the off season so street parking is free but I understand the hassle it would be during peak season.

For over $550 per night (in August) we expected a decent stay but, unfortunately, we felt like we stayed in an extremely overpriced motel with rude employees, laughable breakfast and poor cleanliness and safety concerns.
When we first checked in and got to our room, the door was wide open. Assuming we were given someone else's room, we proceeded to go back to the check-in desk. With an attitude, we were told that cleaning staff simply forgot to close the door after "cleaning" and even if we wanted to switch rooms, they are completely sold out so "deal with it". Wow.
Speaking of cleaning staff. We were appalled that the room was not clean thoroughly (again, for this price - it is too much to ask?), there was debris on the floor and sink surface was dirty.
The worst part of this horrible stay was breakfast. Most of the people working there are rude and unhappy, they make you line up for a very limited hot food selections that they serve in a teeny tiny portions and it tasted worse than the food we had at any other hotel, even Hampton Inn breakfast seemed miles better. Again, perhaps our expectations were too high, but paper plates and plastic cups, in addition to a borderline inedible food, seemed like a slap in the face for this price. Same goes for their wine and cheese happy hour - expect wine that tastes worse than box wine and cheese that tastes like plastic.
The only nice amenity we appreciated during our stay was nightly cookies and milk in the lobby.
Location-wise, it's still not that close to the beach to make walking with all the gear easy.
We wish we stayed elsewhere. Our vacation was ruined by this nightmare of the hotel.
