After hearing about this place and reading reviews we decided to try it last night. The restaurant side was busy but we were able to get a table for 4. There was music in the bar area, so too loud to chat. Our waitress came to the table promptly, was pleasant and too our drink order. It was down hill from there. My friend asked for a glass for her beer and a glass if water. After reminding the waitress 4 times, anither saver finally brought a glass. Had to ask again for the water. When our dinner was served, only 3 of the four entrees were delivered and only one side. It was a good 10 minutes , and asking servers several times, before the 4th entree was delivered. Three more requests until the proper sides were delivered. We all had crab cakes which were good, but not great. We asked for a second round of drinks when the first 3 entrees were served, and had to ask twice more before delivered. Very disappointed, and we are pretty easy going, but this service was unacceptable. I suppose if you go in and say serve me whatever you want whenever you want, you wont be disappointed.

We really enjoy Crab Barn. I prefer to sit on the right side of the restaurant. it's a bit echoey to begin with and the bar is on the left side so when there is live music it's too loud for me. This visit between the 3 of us we had cheese steak egg rolls, Cesar salad, steamed shrimp, corn on the cob, baked potato, green beans, lobster tail, french fries, and snow crab. The only thing I would not get again is the cheesesteak egg rolls. It’s not that they were bad, however the rolls themselves were very basic and lacking flavor. It came with a sauce that was very smokey and very spicy. There wasn’t any info regarding the sauce on the menu so I dipped into it thinking it was a burger sauce. Woooo boy was I surprised, haha!!! Everything else was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Snow crab clusters were a good size and came with 2 sides for a great price. We don’t live local but when we visit family we will definitely be back!!!

We stopped in for dinner to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. Based on the number of stars we were expecting more than what we experienced. I will start by saying that the cook who personally delivered our food was an absolute joy. She clearly takes pride in not only preparing the food but in serving it as well. I’m assuming that maybe our actual server was having an off night. My husband had to get our silverware since our food was served and we still didn’t have utensils to eat it with. My Caesar salad was huge and delicious. The cream of crab soup was terrible. It was just a little beyond warm and tasted like it had been made from a Sysco soup base rather than from an actual roux. No nutmeg, no sherry, minimal Old Bay, and very little crab meat. Very disappointing since the name of the restaurant is “Crab Barn”. Moving past the appetizers, my husband’s Crab Imperial was excellent and the linguini and clams were very good as well (although they used spaghetti rather than linguini). Not the meal we had hoped for to celebrate our anniversary with.
After dinner we migrated into the bar where there was a DJ. We were able to find a table and received excellent service all night. We had a great time there and were even able to request a few songs.
We probably won’t eat there again but we will definitely consider dropping by the bar for a couple of drinks when bar hopping in Long Neck.
