After having lunch not far from here, my gf suggested to go to “DiFebo’s Market”, upon walking in I’ve felt that I’ve entered (a Paradiso) a Paradise!

Everything and everywhere you look you’ll find fine delicacies from prepared Italian dishes to fresh pastas, a coffee bar, a fine bakery with delicious desserts and bread and a Italian goods section to stock up your pantry and never feel being away from the old country.

I’ve had a chance to meet Jacob and his sister which are very nice and attentive to everyone in their shop, both are children of Lisa the owner of both the market and the restaurant right across the street. Next review will be the restaurant and I could hardly wait!

This place is amazing! It had everything! We ended up getting some sides and desserts. Both were very good. I want to try their coffee and sandwiches next.

Completely unimpressed with the $10 cheesesteak at Difebo’s DiFebo's Market.
I certainly did not expect a legitimate Philly style with real ribeye, but I did have the expectation of a flavorful cheesesteak.
Really nice, clean place with friendly employees. Cheesesteak was in my hands about 3 minutes after ordering, so I imagine that they have precooked meat on a corner of the flattop.
10 inch soft seeded roll. I cannot ever recall getting a cheesesteak on a soft seeded roll. I have eaten a lot of cheesesteaks in my day. Fortunately, the small portion of meat and cheese did not cause a “roll failure.”
Wow, tiny portion of meat. I added red sauce because I figured they would have a tasty Sunday gravy style sauce.
Unfortunately, the only flavor profile on my palate was the seeds on the roll. I got nothing else from the meat or sauce.
Now, I went to Hooked Up Ale House & Raw Bar an hour later and got a legitimate, flavorful cheesesteak with fries and a pickle for the same $10. Proper roll with soft interior and hardy exterior to prevent breakage. It was overflowing with meat that actually had a great taste. Meat fell out of the roll when I took a bite-thats more like it!
Pictures don’t lie.
I adnit - I am a big eater. I was definitely not anywhere near “full” after eating this disappointing sandwich at Difebo’s. Hence my visit to Hooked Up.😁
I must say though, all the foods and baked goods in display at Difebo’s looked very good.
DISCLAIMER: I am keenly aware that High Stakes is the best locally.
